THE CLASSIC COBRA CONNECTION
Start newsletters with contacts selected in cobra
The installed mailfino add-in connects cobra Desktop directly to mailfino. Select an individual contact or a filtered group, then start the newsletter workflow from within cobra.
Using cobra online? There is a separate cobra online integration. This page covers the classic add-in for installed cobra versions.
FROM COBRA TO MAILFINO

Choose recipients
Filter the group you want in cobra or select an individual contact. Choose the email and personalization fields needed for the campaign.
Create newsletters
The add-in transfers your selected recipients to mailfino and opens the online workspace. Create and send your newsletter there.
Bring results back
You can then import campaign reports into cobra, where the results are available for follow-up in your CRM.

COBRA ADD-IN IN ACTION
See cobra and mailfino work together
This video from our previous cobra page shows the newsletter workflow with the classic add-in. The interface is from an earlier version; selecting recipients, transferring them, and sending remain the key steps.
The video opens on Vimeo only after you click.
FOR NEW CONTACTS TOO
Bring website sign-ups into cobra
Use mailfino forms and double opt-in to collect sign-ups on your website. You can import form submissions into cobra through the add-in—for example, after a newsletter sign-up or event registration.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
The right add-in for your setup
The correct installer depends on your cobra version and account type. The mailfino add-in and the cobra News & Mail Service add-in are different add-in versions.
For the mailfino add-in, tell us your cobra version and mailfino account type. We can then check compatibility and point you to the right setup. If you use News & Mail Service, you need its own add-in; cobra handles contract and billing questions for that service.
FAQ
Questions about the cobra Desktop add-in
Is this the same integration as cobra online?
No. This add-in is installed in cobra Desktop. The cobra online integration uses a separate connection.
Which cobra versions are supported?
There are different add-in versions for older and newer cobra releases. Tell us your exact cobra version before installing so we can check the appropriate add-in and current support status.
Are contacts synchronized automatically?
The documented add-in workflow starts with your selection or filtered group in cobra. You initiate the transfer with “Create newsletter”; it is not a continuous real-time synchronization.
What can I bring back into cobra?
Campaign reports and form entries can be imported into cobra using the relevant functions. The scope and field mapping depend on your setup.
Is News & Mail Service the same add-in?
No. mailfino and cobra News & Mail Service use different add-in versions. Which one you need depends on your account.
