Customers and orders are imported through separate import profiles. A repeat import updates the data; there is no continuous synchronization and no data is written back.

Product content

Add OXID products to newsletters faster

Search by product name, SKU or category in the newsletter editor. Depending on the shop data, mailfino imports the name, description, price, product link, category and image from the stored data.

Use product data as your starting point

The image and button link to the product page. You can then adapt the text and design for your newsletter in the editor.

Refresh the product data you use

Reimport orders to refresh stored product data. Check product cards already in your newsletter before sending; do not rely on them updating automatically.

Purchase data shows interest

Orders help build audiences by product, category and customer value. A purchase alone does not permit newsletter sending.

Permission to send remains separate

The current integration does not evaluate an OXID consent field. Double opt-in, unsubscribes and suppression lists are managed in mailfino.

Read-only connector

Grant access only to the OXID data you need

The connector is installed in the shop's web root directory and activated as an OXID module. In mailfino, only the shop URL, connector user and API key are stored.

  • Enable read permissions for customers, orders and products separately.
  • No write permissions or data written back to OXID.
  • Use the existing OXID database connection instead of separate database credentials.

Questions about the OXID eShop newsletter integration

Why does mailfino use an OXID connector?

OXID does not provide the required customer, order and product data through the same standard REST API as other shop systems. The connector provides read-only access to this data in a consistent format.

Is OXID data synchronized?

No. Use separate profiles to import customers and orders. Repeat imports update contacts or replace the stored purchase data.

How does the customer import recognize existing contacts?

Recipients already linked are recognized through the persistent OXID customer ID and the stored import mapping.

How are orders matched to contacts?

A buyer is counted for purchase segments only if a mailfino contact with the same email address already exists.

Which orders are included?

The order import stores all non-canceled OXID orders as background data.

Does mailfino import OXID newsletter status?

No. The current integration does not evaluate an OXID consent field. Permission to send is managed separately in mailfino.

Which deployment models support the integration?

Cloud, commercial Selfhosting and Enterprise support integrations. Selfhosting Lite does not.
